**This message is rated MA, which means that it’s ONLY for MArried women (or women who want to get married).

I have a question for you, sister…

When was the last time you wore something sexy?

On your honeymoon? Before you started wearing hijab? Never?

Well if you’re married, sexy clothes should be staple items in your wardrobe… At least that’s what your husband probably thinks.

No matter how much he doesn’t mind you being comfy in your sweats, t-shirts and flannels, your husband would LOVE to see you looking sexy once in a while… And be honest, don’t YOU want to look sexy too?

Hopefully you have a good husband who tries his best to look away from all of the half-naked women that he comes across every single day. He knows that he’s supposed to “lower his gaze” and he knows that he has a beautiful wife – YOU – to come home to… But what do you look like when he gets home?

Is your hair done, or is it a mess?

Are you wearing the same raggedy old clothes that you wore two days ago?

Did you even shower before he came home? (Be honest!)

Let me ask you another question: Have you ever felt inadequate in comparison to “celebrities” on TV or women that you encounter in your everyday life?

Well here’s the thing…

You don’t have to compete with those women for your husband’s affection because he already loves you… Now let’s grab his attention and make him love the way you look. Better yet, let’s make him drool over you… think about you all day while he’s at work… stare at you with passionate desire when you’re in his presence…

No matter what size you wear, what hair you have, or how much money you have, YOU CAN become the object of your husband’s desire.

I’ll teach you everything you need to know when you join my Secrets Of Halal Sexiness Class. You’ll learn:

What makes a woman desirable
…How to LOVE your body and be confident in your own skin
How to be naturally beautiful
…How to dress attractively no matter what your body type is – without spending a lot of $$$
How to create a sensual environment for yourself and your husband to enjoy
…How to create romance without waiting for him to do it first
And much more

Secrets Of Halal Sexiness is a two week “virtual class” that you will participate in from the privacy and comfort of your own home. The class will be taught via LIVE teleconferences. I will teach each lesson over the phone and you will be able to interact with me and ask questions.

There will be 6 lessons, which are:

Lesson 1: Sexy Mind
Believe it or not, the sexiest part of a woman’s body is not her booty or her breasts… It’s her BRAIN. Being a sexy woman starts with creating a sexy mindset, and in this lesson, you’ll learn how to enhance your relationship just by using your thoughts, how to boost your confidence, how to stop comparing yourself to other women, and how to exude sexiness from within.

Lesson 2: Detox YOU
There is no point in looking good if your body and environment don’t give off the same feeling. In this lesson you’ll get rid of the physical “junk” that is cluttering your body and your home so that you can make room for romance.

Lesson 3: Beautiful Body
In this lesson, you’ll discover your assets and accept your “flaws”. You’ll also learn how to take good care of your body – from getting fit to grooming painlessly.

Lesson 4: Dress to Impress
Learn the essentials of an attractive wardrobe, how to be comfy and cute at the same time, how to be alluring from head to toe, and the easiest way to create a sultry makeup look.

Lesson 5: Sexy Space
Learn how to create a sensual, private space where you and your husband can go to relax, let go, and enjoy each other’s company – even if you have a house full of kids.

Lesson 6: Cultivating Romance
Don’t wait for your husband to turn into Prince Charming. If you want romance, you need to create it, and this lesson will teach you how. Being romantic is fun and your husband will love the initiative!

Are you ready to be a modest lady in the street and a Sexy Woman at home?

Yes?

Well first let me warn you that if you don’t think it’s important to look good for your husband, you should stop reading this right now. (And yes, your man should look good for you too… The amazing thing is that once he sees what you’re doing, he will start stepping up as well!)

So how much is this going to cost?

Before I tell you the price, I want you to think about how much money you spend on fast food, entertainment, your cable bill, and all of the other things that we waste hundreds of dollars on every month. What if you put some of that money into something that will actually benefit your life?

You probably don’t know this, but I am a Life Coach and a typical 90-minute session with me would cost you $125. But you won’t spend that much, and you are actually getting 6 sessions with me (which would normally cost $750).

Because it’s a group session and because it’s the first class that I am offering online, you can sign up for the Secrets Of Halal Sexiness Class for just $37 — which is less than $7 per session!

You will get all of the benefits that I’ve mentioned above, PLUS you’ll receive personal coaching from me on every session.

Please NOTE: there are only 100 “seats” 67 seats 28 seats 9 seats available now in this class, and thousands of women are reading this message right now.

Click here to sign up now! You don’t need a PayPal account, you just need a credit or debit card, and the desire to enhance your marriage and your life!

Class starts on Monday, October 31, 2011 and ends on Friday, November 11, 2011. UPDATE: Due to the upcoming Eid holiday, class has been rescheduled to Monday, November 14, 2011 and it ends on Friday, November 25, 2011. See you in class,
Jokima Hamidullah
Life Coach, Fashionista, Muslimette

Post image for Lifestyle : What do you splurge and save on?

Me? I splurge on good modest clothing. If you’re a hijabi, you know that sometimes it can be difficult to find the perfect shirt that is cute, has long sleeves, and covers your behind. So, when I find something really good like that, sometimes I just have to ignore the price tag and buy it. I also splurge on good food. We try to eat as organic as possible in my house. So when we go grocery shopping, we have to spend a few extra dollars in order to get better quality food.

What do I save on?
I save on drugstore items like toiletries and beauty products (except for when I need a MAC fix!). I usually find great deals on these items at drugstores like CVS. CVS actually helps me save even more money because it gives you Extra Bucks on your shopping receipts throughout the year. The Extra Bucks are usually worth around $5 and you have to use the money at that store. CONFESSION: When I get Extra Bucks on my receipts, I usually turn right back around and buy some more stuff before I leave the store… Pathetic right?

What about you, ladies? What do you splurge and save on? Do you clip coupons? Do you buy a great new car every couple of years? Do you “invest” in good shoes and handbags because they’ll last longer? Or are you a frugal girl all the way?

Post image for Muslim Women In Style : What’s your inside style?

Every time I see my sister-in-law, Roza*, she tells me that I am “so pious for dressing modestly” even when I’m around my family. Funny, right? Well, she says this because I usually wear long skirts, pants or jeans at home and sometimes I wear scarves as well – and when I’m around mahram people other than my daughter and my husband, I usually throw on a cardigan or something over my tank tops. It’s not really about trying to be “more religious”, it’s just about being comfortable.

Inside style refers to what a hijabi Muslimah wears when she’s at home. I like to call my inside style Bohurban-Chic (bohemian+urban+chic) and here’s why I wear what I wear:

[1] long skirts because they’re comfy and cute;

[2] tank tops because I like the idea of wearing something fitted on top of flowy skirts – and of course tank tops are super-comfy;

[3] silk scarves because they keep my wet hair from getting frizzy as it air dries (they also allow me to look cute on bad hair days!);

[4] a gold name chain because I’ve wanted one ever since I was 10 years-old and inshaAllah I’ll still be wearing it when I’m 80 (!);

[5] hair sticks because they provide a cute way to pin my hair up;

[6] big gold hoops because they’re essentials and they look great when you wear your hair up;

[7] indian bangles because they’re my favorite and I love the jingling noise that they make;

[8] black eyeliner because it makes me feel a little fancy – J. Lo Live Luxe perfume has the same effect;

[9] flip flops because I usually like to have something on my feet.

Ok, so what’s your inside style? Do you dress the same way around everyone that you don’t have to be completely covered around? Or do you have different levels of modesty depending on who you’re with?

Post image for Single Sisters : Do you look for love online?

I don’t know about you, but where I come from, there aren’t a ton of good Muslim men to choose from. So when I was trying to get married, I thought that the Internet would be a good way to meet someone. Now, this was before all of the eHarmony commercials were running on television. All I had were AOL and Yahoo instant messengers, and one or two Islamic marriage sites that were filled with people who were only interested in me for a green card (seriously!). But now that single Muslim women have Myspace, Facebook, and all the other social networking and matrimonial websites, it would seem that finding a husband would be much easier because there are so many places to look. But I realized that all of the single Muslim women that I know who have tried to find a husband online are either still single or they ended up meeting their husband offline.

So, tell me, do you think that the Internet makes it easier to find someone to marry? Have you tried looking for a husband online? If yes, what was your experience like? If no, why not? And what are your tips for Muslim women who are looking for a husband online?

Post image for Fajr Reflections : A beautiful du’a.

It’s just after dawn and we’ve just finished praying, reciting Al-Qur’an, and having a mini-halaqah. One of the verses that I came across in my reading this morning is a verse in Surah Yusuf (one of my favorite stories in The Qur’an) which includes a beautiful du’a that I plan to start saying regularly inshaAllah.

In translation the du’a says: “…Oh Creator of the heavens and the earth, You alone are my savior in this world and the world to come; let me die submitting to You, and place me among the righteous.” [Ayah 12:101]

Such a perfect du’a! It’s what every Muslim wants, to be devoted to Allah and to be counted among the righteous ones in The Hereafter.

Dear Muslimahs, what did you come across while reading The Qur’an today?

Post image for Muslim Women In Love: What didn’t you know before you got married?

[Note: The woman in the photo is not the author of this blog post. This is just a random Flickr image that relates to the words below.]

The “something silly” that I didn’t realize until I got married is that blow-drying, curling, and other time-consuming hairstyling techniques can be really pointless once you find yourself washing your hair as often as married women do (you know, “the morning after”). So, I had to figure out new ways to do my hair. More about that coming up in the first issue of Muslimette in November.

For now, do tell. What are some trivial things that you didn’t think about before you got married? Anything funny, annoying, or surprising? [Please no husband bashing here... That's for a later post (just kidding!).]

Post image for Muslim Women In Style: Would you wear stockings with sandals?

Picture a Muslim woman in a black abaya, nice hijab, black sandals… and neon green stockings. Cute? Or not so much?

I don’t know about you, but I think that colorful stockings and open-toed shoes can look really stylish when worn together. Maybe not the neon green stockings in my little example above, but when worn with more subtle colors, I think that stockings and sandals can work. Plus, it’s a great option for Muslim women who believe in completely covering their feet at all times, or for those women who want to find a way to rock their fierce sandals (it’s the Tyra in me!) even when it’s cold outside.

So, dear readers, would you wear stockings with sandals? Would you wear bright or patterned stockings; or only dark, subtle colors? Are stockings with sandals a fashion faux pas for Muslim women?

Post image for Muslim Women In Love: Would you get married without your family?

Last night something happened that I’ve been waiting for for almost 20 years… My little brother and our close family friend got married! Ali and Amara* are both 19 and from the time that they were babies, we all knew that one day, they’d get married — at least we all hoped that they would. Well, last night they finally did! The only messed up thing about it is that I was not at the wedding!

Can you hear my heart breaking?

Amara’s mom and one of our sisters were also not able to make it to the wedding. Why wouldn’t we be there, you ask? Well, after several (annoying) wedding date changes, Ali and Amara decided on Tuesday night – while I was on the train back to my house, an hour away from my hometown – that they would get married on Wednesday. And I wasn’t able to make the trip back for their wedding.

When I spoke to my brother on the phone, he kept saying “I love you!” (as if that would stop me from being upset), and he kept reassuring me that I could still come to the walimah (or reception). I’m over it now, but yesterday, I was a little furious. I mean, who would want to miss their little brother’s wedding? I don’t know many 19-year-olds that have a wife rather than a girlfriend. So, I wanted to be there to support my brother.

When I got married, I wanted my whole family to be there. I always dreamed of having a big wedding and I couldn’t imagine not having all of my loved ones there. To me, the ceremony is what makes it a wedding, but to Ali and Amara, the reception is what matters the most. So hopefully we’ll all be there when Ali and Amara cut the wedding cake (which seeing how fickle they are about wedding dates, could happen at any moment!). And of course the most important thing is that they’re married – alhamdulillah!

What do you think? Would you get married without your family being there? Would you be upset if you couldn’t attend your close relative’s wedding? Did you or do you plan to have separate dates for your wedding ceremony and your reception? Which one is most important, the ceremony or the reception?
