I’ve had my iPhone for a few months now and I’m looking for some good Islamic apps to download. So far, I only have alQuran installed on my phone…

If you have an iPhone, what are your favorite Islamic apps?

I have the iPray and iQuran. I also have another quran app that’s called al-Quran. Now I’m trying to find qibla finder, for those days I forget where my prayer compass at home.

iPray pro has a qibla finder via gps. it’s awesome…it’s a small price you pay for such a good app.

Ok, so I live in the electronic stone age: I have no iPhone. However, my roommate does…and I’ve just noticed that islamicfinder has a mobile athan software that is compatible with a lot of phones (but alas, not the iPhone)! Supposedly it does qiblah direction, athan, prayer times and more. There’s a free version and a $25 updated version.

I also recommend two free apps: Qudsi and Al Mus’haf

Qudsi gives English translation of 40 Hadith Qudsi

Al Mus’haf is a Qur’an which allows you to flip pages and zoom in

I have iPray, iQuran, and I just got iSubha to help me with dhikr/tasbeeh. It’s a beautiful app for something so simple but it makes it easy and I don’t have to carry around an actual tasbeeh :)

This Islamic iphone app is my favourite. It has du’a for every circumstance and is based on Hisnul Muslim du’a book.

Salaams!!

I have iQuran, iPray, iDuaa, Qudsi and Guidance

I love the Islamic apps especially iQuran because it feels like I’m walking around with a Quran in my pocket all day!!! I also love the Guidance and iPray apps because it also feels like I have a muezzin with me all the time calling the adhan!!!

I initially got this phone for many of its features (camera, internet etc.) not realizing that it could be such an enhancement to my life as a Muslimah. At a sister’s conference, I attended there was a session where the presenter gave a Quranic quote. Immediately three sisters (myself included) pulled out there iPhone or iPod and looked up the verse. It was amazing!!!

I have the iphone as well, and i am an american convert, alhumdullah, and i am looking for an app or even a book if anyone knows of one, that will help me learn the different hadiths, dua, and the correct pronunciation of prayers. I know this is a lot to ask, but its worth a try…Thanks sisters. Ma’Salaam!

Can someone please tell me an app on iphone that teaches you what to say during the five times we pray. I know my Bislmilah Rahman Rahim, Allhumdula Raba al min. I know that prayer goes into the 5 times that we are suppose to pray. But that is the only prayer I know, I grow up in the states…and it’s hard for my tongue to twist. So I stopped at just that prayer, but no excuses! I want to learn how to pray, what to say while my prayers and what prayer goes with what. I want to get it on my Iphone, so I can learn the prayers, then learn how to pray on the carpet, and again what verses we say at what times. Any App for that? I read the Quran in english, so I am good on that, but dont know how to pray or what to say. So please help me find that app. Also instead of carring my Quran around, what app has the whole Quran pages on it? That way I can read it at work on my phone. Please email me ledah21@yahoo.com

You should definitely give “Muslim Pro” a try (iPhone app).

http://itunes.apple.com/app/muslim-pro-prayer-time-notifications/id388389451?mt=8

It comes with prayer time calculations (most methods/conventions are supported), muslim holidays, Qibla compass and Adhan notifications.

It’s got great ratings and ranks in the top 10 free iPhone apps in countries like Egypt, Pakistan, Tunisia, etc…
